Help with Citation Styles

When you start to work with a citation style, you will have lots of questions about citing the particular items you used in your paper.

Here are some places to get some help:

Straight from the Horse's Mouth, as it were...  MLA and APA both publish manuals that explain their citation styles and give lots of examples.  By using their manuals, you are going right to the source for an explanation.

The LCSC Library keeps copies of these manuals in their Reference Collection.  The Reference Librarians can help you find the manuals and explain how to use them!

Internet to the Rescue!  The LCSC Librarians have selected some reputable sites with information on citation styles, including examples.  They are at the Reference Shelf on the Library's web page.

To reach this page, either come back here and click on the link, or:

  • Open the Library's Web Page (http://www.lcsc.edu/library),

  • From the gray box on the left side of the page, select Reference and Subject Links.

  • Click on Reference Shelf.
