Two good ways to avoid plagiarism in your papers are:

 

  1. Cite your sources, and

  2. Paraphrase without copying the source's words or ideas.  You may also quote directly from your source if you make it obvious that it is a quotation and not your own words.

 

Use one citation style consistently throughout your paper.  MLA and APA are the two styles most often used at LCSC.
