Welcome to
Information Literacy Module 2B:
Publication Formats and Citations
In this module, we will discuss the different formats of library resources. Scholars use a kind of shorthand to describe published works. We call this shorthand description of a publication a citation. This module will show you how to read a citation and how to tell the format of a publication from the citation.
If you need help with any of the information in this module, the Reference Librarians would be glad to give you some individual instruction!
