Welcome to

Information Literacy Module 2C:

APA Citation Style

When you write papers, you will need to cite your sources, that is, you will need to explain where you got your information.  The two citation styles used most often at LCSC are MLA and APA.  This module covers the details of citing sources with APA style.  Module 2D covers MLA style.

If you need help in understanding any of the information in this module, the Reference Librarians would be glad to give you some individual instruction!

ACTIVITIES:

  1. Here's a Tutorial on APA Style from the American Psychological Association.

  1. To see examples from the 6th edition, here is a page created by the Purdue University Online Writing Lab.  For questions concerning a particular source that you want to cite, ask the Reference Librarians for help.

    3.   Test your knowledge of using the APA Citation Style to cite sources.

The quiz is available in the Assessments section of some online courses on Blackboard.  Login to your online course, and look for the Assessment for Module 2C (APA Citation Style).

For more detailed instructions on logging in to take the quiz, read this Handout.
