GOALS –        Introduce concepts of plagiarism and copyright

OBJECTIVES --  After performing the module’s activity, students will be able to:

• List major tenets of LCSC's Academic Dishonesty Policy
• Define plagiarism
• Identify the correct behavior in some situations where plagiarism might occur
• Understand the use of paraphrasing and know when it constitutes plagiarism
• Define copyright and fair use
• Understand the reasons for citing sources and for using a citation style
• Identify the 2 main citation styles used at LCSC (APA and MLA)
• Identify sources of assistance in using a citation style
