Finding the Articles

OK.  After you've identified some materials that you want to read, you have to lay your hands on them.

Let's look at the first 3 items on our list of results to practice that skill.

Here's the first one.  We've added some info in Red to explain the citation:

Counselor understanding of Native American spiritual loss.[ARTICLE TITLE] Olson, Margaret J.[AUTHOR]; Counseling & Values, [JOURNAL TITLE] Vol 47(2), Jan 2003. pp. 109-117. [Journal Article] [TYPE OF RESOURCE]
References (19)
Notes:  Title available in the LCSC Library. Check the LCSC Library Catalog for available issues.

In this case, we can see that we are looking at a citation for an article in a journal called Counseling & Values.

According to the Notes, "Title available in the LCSC Library."  That means that the LCSC Library has subscribed to Counseling & Values.  A quick check of the LCSC Library Catalog shows that the Library's coverage extends from January 1998 to the present.

So to read an article in the January 2003 issue of Counseling & Values (page 109), you should come in to the Library or, if you are a distance student, order a copy of the article with the Forms for Requesting Materials.
