Getting Materials from

Other Libraries

Once you have identified a book or article that is available at a library other than LCSC, there are 2 methods for ordering materials:

walking book

  1. Come in to the LCSC Library and fill out the form, "LCSC Interlibrary Loan Request," OR

  2. Use the Library's Web page to order online.  From the gray box on the Library's Web page, click on "Forms for Requesting Materials."

(This service is available only to LCSC students, faculty, and staff.)

If the material is coming from outside the WIN Libraries, it may cost money.  Other libraries often charge a fee to lend items to patrons of another library.  (The average cost is $12 an item.)  We always try to borrow from libraries that don't charge, but sometimes the item you want will be available only from a library that charges.  You will be responsible for paying any lending fees that the other library charges.

It will also take longer to get here.  Allow 2-3 weeks for the item to arrive.

You will also be responsible for overdue fees if you return the item past its due date.
