Websites Here are some examples of Subject Directories in Psychology: Encyclopedia of Psychology - A directory of psychology-related Websites, compiled by the Department of Psychology, Jacksonville State University, Florida. Psychology Virtual Library - The Psychology subject area of the World Wide Web Virtual Library. Links are edited and annotated by Gene R. Thursby, Ph.D., Department of Religion, University of Florida. Internet Mental Health - A large directory of psychology-related Websites, compiled by Phillip W. Long, M.D., a Canadian psychiatrist. The Internet Links show asterisks (*) to rate their popularity. Psych Web - A collection of sites covering many facets of the study of psychology. In particular, take a look at the Scholarly Resources. Health/Web : Psychology/Psychiatry - Part of a large health-related Subject Directory, compiled by medical librarians at 20 major universities in the Midwest. APA Online - The Website of the American Psychological Association. Besides information on the Association, the topics include links to press releases and brochures on topics such as depression and aging.
For Government studies and statistics, try searching: USA.gov - A search engine for Federal Government web pages, including those of the National Institute of Mental Health.
And don't forget the LCSC Library's Research Tools page for Psychology, which provides links to the journals databases in psychology, as well as many other useful resources.
