  1. Notice that, besides not providing the full text of the article, this citation doesn't even provide an abstract.  Some articles will have an abstract in this kind of database; many will not.

Since you cannot rely on matching your words to the text of articles or abstracts, the subject terms become much more important.

The citations in these databases usually provide more subject terms than in full-text databases, and these terms are usually more specific than in full-text databases. 

  1. Since these premium databases hold so many records, a general keyword search like we did in the full-text database would provide a much larger number of citations to wade through, in search of a good article.

By using the very specific subject terms, you can more quickly focus your search to the articles that meet your needs, eliminating articles that only touch lightly on your search topic.
