How to Request Library Instruction

1. If you would like some one-on-one tutoring on the use of the Library's online resources, please contact Barbara Barnes, x2235, email blbarnes@lcsc.edu, to arrange an appointment.
2. You may also arrange instruction for your students.
  a. To arrange an in-class library instruction session for your students, please contact Barbara Barnes (x2235, email blbarnes@lcsc.edu). She will design a session that targets the information needs related to specific assignments in your course.
  b. We have online tutorials organized into Information Literacy Modules. Any instructor can request that students in their class complete appropriate modules of this research skills training. The modules consist of 2 parts: 1) online tutorials that are freely available to anyone with Internet access, and 2) quizzes that test student knowledge of the material covered in the tutorials.

Quizzes are administered via Blackboard. If you would like to assign these modules and quizzes or need more information about how this program works, please contact Barbara Barnes, x2235, email blbarnes@lcsc.edu.

If you decide to assign the modules, your course will need to be designated LECW (Lecture with Web enhancement) or have some other online course designation.
