function is the delivery of outreach and
services to customers who cannot participate in
traditional campus offerings. |
Distance
Learning |
| |
Distance
Learning offers an alternative delivery method
of classroom instruction to students with time
and geographic constraints. We offer classes
online over the Internet; as hybrids, utilizing
both classroom and web instruction; and
interactive video conferencing, which allows for
classroom instruction in one site to be
transmitted to additional sites. |
Financial Aid |
| |
As the cost of
education continues to rise, decisions on how
students and parents will pay for college
becomes very important. Sources of assistance,
such as Federal Financial Aid or scholarships,
can help cover some of these expenses. |
Adult Basic
Education |
| |
ABE is a basic
skills program for out-of-school adults 16 years
of age and older. We also serve graduated adults
who wish to upgrade their skills. Materials,
books, and tuition are free. Enrollment in the
program is based on an "open-entry" concept,
which allows students to participate at anytime
during the year. |
Center for New
Directions |
| |
The Center for New Directions helps individuals
in transition to become personally and
economically self-sufficient. We provide
personal and career counseling to help
individuals recognize their abilities and
interests, set goals, solve problems, and find a
positive life direction.

and we can help you gain that skill if your
interests lie in one of our program areas. |
Technical and
Industrial |
| |
Programs in the
Technical and Industrial Division provide
students with the technical knowledge,
specialized skills, proper attitudes and safe
work habits to enter the labor market. Programs
are structured to accommodate the goals of
students seeking entry-level employment, career
advancement or change. Students work with the
equipment and theoretical concepts used in their
trade. The division monitors current industry
needs to anticipate future changes and
instructional requirements. Most faculty have
achieved mastery level recognition in their
trades and hold national certification. |
