Some students begin their career as
students. Both the Legal Secretary and Paralegal
programs require students to complete a work experience in a
legal environment prior to graduation. Students work
parttime while attending school. Often, upon completion of
the coop or internship, the student is offered a fulltime
position upon graduation.
The Legal Support Services Program,
consisting of both Paralegal and Legal Secretary programs, at
Lewis-Clark State College, has an excellent placement
record. During the last five years, over 90% of its
graduates are working in the legal field.
Students and graduates are employed in
a variety of legal environments. Some examples are private
law firms, public firms such as the prosecuting attorney's
office and public defender's office, and positions with the court.
The pictures you see to your right are actual photos of students
and graduates of the Legal programs at Lewis-Clark State College.
