Research interests:
Previous research:
My research focuses on the the population and
community dynamics of small mammals, particularly rodents. My dissertation
work at the University of Kansas examined
long-term dynamics (22 years) of a rodent community in old-field habitat in
northeastern Kansas.
Current areas of interest:
Long-term population and community dynamics of rodents
Urban ecology (both birds and mammals)
Meta-population dynamics
Personal interests:
Like most outdoor enthusiasts I enjoy camping and hiking. I am also an avid mammal and birdwatcher. In addition to these outdoor activities, I enjoy several sedentary indoor activities as well, including reading, video and computer gaming, and hanging out with family.
