Marshall Watters Memorial Fund

The Marshall/Watters Memorial Fund was established in the1996 by Dr. Alan G. Marshall to honor two families, those of William Hampton Marshall and Samuel Marion Watters. The purpose of the fund is to provide Native American Students with the emergency loan fund for books/ supplies. This is a revolving fund which provides students with a resource when other financial education support in not immediately forthcoming.

Isaac "Ike" Wilson Memorial Scholarship

Isaac Wilson was a graduate of LCSC with a degree in History. An active member of the Native American Club, Ike made many friends and encouraged their scholarships. In recognition of his contributions to the Native American Club and LCSC, a scholarship fund has been developed in his name. Each year a Native American student is awarded a scholarship to help fund their studies in any program. The co-recipiants of the scholarship for the 1999-2000 are Verna Johnson and Jeanette Weaskus. Applications will be available in November for the next year.

Nez Perce Vocational Educational Program

The Nez Perce Vocational Educational Program (NPVEP) is beginning its second year of support to the Native American Students and has currently hadthirty-one students at LCSC. The NPVEP offer assistance with vocational guidance, support with paperwork, tutoring, advising and financial assistance.If you are enrolled in a vocational program and would like more information on th NPVEP please contact (208) 843-7363.

Idaho State Minority & At-risk Scholarship

To be eligible for this  scholarship you must be an Idaho resident, be an Idaho high school graduate, and must meet three of the following criteria:  Be a first generation college student, e.g.neither parents have received a bachelor's degree or higher.  2.) Be handicapped as defined in 29 US Code, Section 794. 3.) Be a migrant farmer worker or be a dependent of a migrant or seasonal farm worker.  Have a substantial financial need as determined by the college. Be an ethnic minority person. The current scholarships are Wendy Thomas and Joe McKay.
