• The first NAIA World Series was played in Alpine, Texas in 1957.
   
• The NAIA has held a World Series in baseball every year since 1957. The 2011 Series will be the 55th edition of the event.
   
• This year, 2011, will be Lewiston’s 20^th year hosting the World Series.
   
• 712,763 people have attended the Series in the 19 years the event has been held at Lewiston, an average of 2,013 per game.
   
• In 2009, despite host Lewis-Clark State being eliminated early in the Series, the title game between Lubbock Christian and Point Loma drew a crowd of 4,005.
   
• The highest attendance for one game in Lewiston came in 2008 when 5,530 people attended the championship game. The previous record was 5,480 set in 2006.
   
• 354 World Series games have been held at Lewiston.
   
• 174 different teams have participated in the World Series—36 of those teams have never won a game. Hawaii-Hilo has the most appearance without winning a game, as it is 0-6 in its three appearances.
   
• 30 Different teams have claimed championships, while only six teams have multiple championships: Lewis-Clark State 16, Grand Canyon (AZ) 4, Lewis (ILL) 3, Lubbock Christian (TX) 2, David Lipscomb (TN) 2, Linfield (OR) 2, Cumberland (TN) 2.
   
• Three teams are tied for the most appearance without winning a championship.  Dallas Baptist (TX), Southeastern Oklahoma and Point Park (NY) have all made 10 appearances and failed to come away with the title.
   
• Lewis-Clark State won the championship six consecutive years from 1987-1992, bettering the three consecutive mark of Grand Canyon. 
   
• Lewiston became the host of the World Series in 1984 and hosted the event until 1991.  The World Series then was hosted by four different cities in eight years, until it returned to Lewiston in 2000.
   
• In the 53-year history of the NAIA World Series, Lewis-Clark State has played at the most sites, seven.  They have participated in St. Joseph, Mo; Nashville, TN;  Lubbock, TX;  Des Moines, IA;  Sioux City, IA;  Jupiter, FL; and Lewiston.
   
• Two no-hitters have been thrown in the World Series.
   
• Joey Dyche (Lewis-Clark State College, 2005) is the only player to hit for the cycle in the World Series.
   
• Clyde Wright (Carson-Newman, 1965) holds the record for most strikeouts in a World Series Game, 22.
