LCSC student clubs collaborate to offer LC Valley’s first Color the Valley Run

LEWISTON, Idaho - The Business Student Organization (BSO) and Kinesiology Club at LCSC will host the 1st Annual Color the Valley Run on Saturday, April 12th at Community Park in the Lewiston Orchards.  An official event of the 2014 Dogwood Festival, the 1st Annual Color the Valley Run is a fun 5k run where participants are splashed with colorful biodegradable washable powder.

Over 500 people have registered for the event and up to 100 LCSC student volunteers are expected.  Due to the number of people registering early, registration for the event is closing today (April 1) at midnight.

"When organizing the event, we did not anticipate this many people the first year," stated Dan Port, LCSC student and BSO officer.  "In order to ensure a quality event we decided to stop taking registrations after April 1st."

All proceeds go toward promoting student scholarships and future events held by the Business Student Organization and Kinesiology Club.  You can learn more about the event on the Color the Valley Run Facebook page: Color The Valley Run Facebook .

Both the Business Student Organization and the Kinesiology Club are part of over 60 students clubs at LCSC.  For more information about student clubs and activities on campus visit: Student Clubs.
