Iceland pop singer to perform at LCSC on Wednesday

LEWISTON, Idaho – Iceland pop singer Jófríður Ákadóttir will perform on Wednesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in the Lewis-Clark State College Music Building, located at 1105 Seventh St., in Lewiston.

The performance is free and open to the public.

The 22-year-old musician has been compared to the iconic Iceland singer Bjork and is currently touring in the United States. Her Lewiston stop is between concert stops in Seattle and New York. She has played previously toured in Europe.

While at LCSC on Wednesday, she will visit the creative writing, publishing arts, and international literature classes. She will also do an interview with KLCZ radio.

Her visit has been arranged by Kevin Goodan, an associate professor of English/Creative Writing in the Humanities Division at LCSC, and is sponsored by the Humanities Division in part to the support of the Rosehill Estate.
