Country music artist Stephen Neal to perform Monday at LCSC

LEWISTON, Idaho – Country music artist Stephen Neal will perform during Lewis-Clark State College’s Welcome Fair on Monday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the grass area between the Student Union Building and Talking Hall on the LCSC campus.

Monday is the first day of classes for the fall semester at LCSC and area businesses and organizations will be on campus with information for students as part of the Welcome Fair.

Neal, who is from Joliet, Ill., played college baseball at St. Joseph’s College in Indiana and also at the University of St. Francis in Joliet. His friends at St. Francis talked him into taking digital recording classes and to perform at open mic nights, which started his music career.

In the past two years, he has released two EPs. His first was a six-song EP called “I Just Drive” and he followed up with a second acoustic EP. He has opened for Joe Nichols, Bad Company, Chris Young and Jana Kramer at various music festivals, and he has more than 20,000 followers on YouTube.

Neal, age 27, writes his own songs, which are based on his personal experiences and emotions.

His performance is free and open to the public.
