North Central Idaho SBDC at LCSC sets three workshops for September

LEWISTON, IDAHO – The North Central Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Lewis-Clark State College has scheduled three workshops in Lewiston and Grangeville for September, including two on bookkeeping.

The first workshop, “Easy Business Start,” will be held on Sept. 20 at 9:30 a.m.-noon at the LCSC SBDC office, located at 406 Main St. in Lewiston. The workshop will show how to make starting a business easier by obtaining the right information up front, including checklists, plans, feasibility, value proposition, licensing, taxes, and capital. The workshop has a fee of $20 and will be taught by Barbara Leachman, director of the North Central Idaho SBDC.

A QuickBooks 2018 workshop will be held on Sept. 25 at 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the LCSC Outreach Center in Grangeville, located at 201 E. Main St. The workshop will cover QuickBooks 2018, a computerized accounting system that helps record sales and deposits, invoice customers, enter and track bills, and write checks. Janice Gobbi will be the instructor and the workshop has a fee of $85.

A workshop on basic accounting and recordkeeping will be held on Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Lewiston SBDC office. The workshop, which has a $20 fee, will cover records and decisions, the language of money, report analysis, wealth, taxes, and financial tools that are available. Leachman will be the instructor.
