Hypnotist and comedian Jones to perform at LC State on Sept. 18

LEWISTON, Idaho – Hypnotist and comedian Chris Jones will perform Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. at the Silverthorne Theatre on the Lewis-Clark State College campus.

His performance, sponsored by the Warrior Entertainment Board at LC State, is free and open to the public, but because of adult content and humor, attendees should be at least 18 years of age.

Jones is the host of the new prank series “Double Take” which began last week on Facebook Watch. In each episode, Jones conspires with a different celebrity to surprise one of their fans by meeting and interacting with them. The interaction, however, is through a range of crazy circumstances and includes hypnosis so that the fan doesn’t recognize the celebrity.

A native of Chicago, Jones has performed at more than 200 shows across the country in the past year. He is best known for his 2015 appearance on “American’s Got Talent” when he hypnotized and convinced known germaphobe Howie Mandel to shake hands with each of his fellow AGT judges. The video of the performance has had more than 11 million hits online.

Jones also has performed on “The Steve Harvey Show,” “The Adam Carolla Show,” and YouTube’s “Scam School.”
