Here at Lewis-Clark State College, our nursing and radiography students are given the opportunity to practice their skills and critical thinking in a high-tech simulation lab. This on-campus facility features several high-fidelity mannequins and the ability to introduce students to situations in patient care that prepares them for the real world. From labor and delivery to gunshot wound victims, our graduates have experienced a wide variety of scenarios and the value of those simulations stay with them throughout their careers. See our video!
Some of the most unique learning experiences you have as a nursing student, are during Simulations. Not only are you being videotaped and watched live by your peers… But you are trying to successfully treat this talking mannequin that keeps asking you if she’s going to die… And we all know that as soon as you say, “Of course not, Mrs. Jones,” a mysterious force has caused your patient’s blood pressure to plummet… Julie Dodge, Dec. 2015 BSN Graduate
