Open Lab Policies

1) Open labs are available for use by currently enrolled LCSC students, faculty, and staff.

2) Students must show their current LCSC ID card to use the lab. ID cards will be left with the lab monitor while the student is in the lab. ID cards will be held until laser or color prints are paid for.

3) Any student may use a computer without a valid LCSC ID card on three separate occasions during the semester.

4) All hardware, software, and documentation is available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis.

5) Food or drink is not permitted in any of the computer labs or classrooms at any time.

6) Lab users will honor all copyright laws as well as the software use policy currently in effect at LCSC.

7) There is a .10 cent charge per sheet for laser printing and a $.50 charge per sheet for color prints. This charge applies even when you use your own paper. All pages printed will be charged.

8) The closing of the lab will be announced to all lab users 15 minutes before.

9) No distribution of hardware, software, or documentation will be allowed within fifteen minutes of closing.

10) Playing of CDs is permitted with headphones. Be sure that you are not bothering anyone.

11) If demand of the open lab exceeds capacity, the adjoining rooms, B128 and B126 may be used as an open lab and function under the above policies.

12) Children will be permitted in the lab but are not all owed to use the computers.   Crayons and a small table are located in room b128.  Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
