Non-traditional Orientation is for the
student who is over the age of 24, has never attended college or
will be transferring less than 14 college credits.
Transfer Orientation is designed for
students who are transferring 14 or more college credits.
Traditional Orientation is for students
under the age of 24 and has never attended a college or
university.
Some students may be able to fit in two categories. If you find
yourself in this situation, choose the orientation program
you’re most comfortable attending. If you need assistance,

Students who do not register for SD 107/307 are required to pay a $35 fee on the day of orientation.
Students enrolled in the one credit course will have the fee included in the bill for tuition/fees.
Yes! Family and friends are encouraged to attend orientation with you. Please be sure to include them in the final count when registering
for the appropriate orientation program.
All students are required to attend the entire program. However, if there are extenuating circumstances, requests for exceptions will
need to be made to the Office of the Dean of Student Services.
The Minority Student Orientation session is designed to give students information about campus clubs/organizations, academic
assistance/advising, minority student scholarship opportunities, and other resources available to our students. This session will also
provide you with the opportunity to meet with current students and members of the Native American/Minority Student Services staff.
International students should plan to attend both International Orientation on August 21st and New Student Orientation on August 22nd.
During International Orientation, students will learn about issues specific to international students, such as employment, immigration, and
negotiating cultural differences.
WarriorPalooza, coordinated by Student Activities, is an event that is held for new students of LCSC at Hells Gate State Park.
The event is set to begin at 4 pm on August 24 and end at approximately 7:30 pm. Shuttle transportation will be provided from the
LCSC Activity Center to Hells Gate State Park at 3:30 pm and return at approximately 7:30 pm. WarriorPalooza will feature your
favorite backyard games, Outdoor Adventure’s kayaks, amazing BBQ by Happy Day Catering, and the great sounds of two Northwest Bands,
Eclectic Approach, (www.myspace.com/eclecticapproach) and Miles From Home (www.myspace.com/milesfromhomerock).
Eclectic Approach, has rocked major festivals including WARPED TOUR, shared the stage with national acts such as Everclear,
The Classic Crime, Andre Nickatina, Cartel & Blake Lewis (AKA B-Shorty), Sweatshop Union and continues to headline shows with up and coming
regional staples, The Staxx Brothers. Miles From Home, armed with acoustic guitars and a passion for music, have crafted a trademark sound that
is reflected in their pristine harmonies and inventive songwriting.
