Petitioning Academic Rules and Regulations

Petitions to the Dean of Academic Programs are for matters concerning academic rules and regulations (i.e. exceptions to program and degree requirements).  This does not include petitions regarding grades, financial aid, fees, readmission after suspension from college, changes in admission status, student social misconduct, or transferability of credit from other institutions.
   
The petition process intended to meet the needs of students with extenuating circumstances.

Time Limit: Within six months after the last day of the term in which the alleged petitionable event occurred.
   
Process: All petitions must be accompanied by appropriate documentation which explains or supports the student's petition.
   
  "Advisors" in the petition process are to be employees of Lewis-Clark State College. No non-employees will be allowed to serve in this capacity.
