Survey Results of LCSC Student Alcohol Use:

 

A recent survey of student alcohol use and abuse found that about 25% of LC students choose not to drink alcohol at all, and approximately 67% of students who choose to drink have four or fewer drinks when they choose to "party" or "socialize."  Additionally, many of those choosing to drink experienced negative consequences related to their drinking during the last 12 months: 

* Doing something they later regretted: 28.7%
* Having unprotected sex: 19.5%
* Forgetting where they were or what they had done: 16.9%

 
* Being physically injured: 9.4%
* Being involved in a fight: 5.1%
* Physically injured another person: 2.4%
* Having someone use force or threat of force to have
   sex with them: 1.1%
