Consultation

Students helping classmates or staff and faculty assisting students with personal difficulties are welcome to consult with counselors. Arrangements for consultation may be made by phone or in person (Reid Hall room 111).
 

Referral

It is essential that care for student counseling concerns be complete and well coordinated. Student Counseling Services may, therefore, refer students to other campus and community service providers such as Student Health Services, Student Support Services, the Center for New Directions, Community Mental Health, or St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, for additional assistance. We then coordinate services with the other providers to offer optimal care to the student. Communication between Student Counseling Services and other providers occurs, however, only with the express written consent of the student.
