Student Counseling Center

Student Counseling Center

Individual Counseling

Student Counseling Center (SCC) offers individual counseling  to students who wish to discuss personal concerns that interfere with their emotional well being and their ability to achieve their educational goals. Individual counseling operates on a brief therapy model. The number of sessions varies depending on student need. Typically, the student meets with a counselor to explore the area of concern and to develop a plan to address those concerns.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is provided for students and their spouses or life partners. Couples counseling follows a brief therapy model  and number of sessions vary depending on student need.

Group Counseling

Each semester, SCC offers counseling groups on an as-needed basis.  Therapy groups offer students the opportunity to interact with others who face problems similar to their own. The group process allows students to receive group support and to learn to develop more satisfying relationships.
