The goal of Student Health Services (SHS) & Student
Counseling Center (SCC) is to
assist students in achieving optimal physical,
behavioral and emotional health. In order to achieve this goal, we
will assist the students in their understanding that they must take
responsibility for their own health for both short and long term
success.
All LCSC students, full and part time, are eligible to utilize
services at Student Health and Student Counseling Center. Students
DO NOT need to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Program
(SHIP) to utilize our services.
Appointments are available by calling Student Health Services at
792-2251 or stopping by Sam Glenn Complex (SGC), Room 205.
A registered nurse is available five days per week and
clinic is also available for minor injuries and illness on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am – 2pm and Thursdays 1:30 pm -
4 pm.
Call or stop by today to make an appointment or ask questions!
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
If faced with an emergency, please call 911.
Student Health
Services is an Ambulatory Clinic only.
Contacting Emergency Medical Services (EMS/911) should be the first
thing you do in an emergency. Always stay with the patient until EMS
arrives.
You can call SHS after EMS has been contacted, only if you can do so
without leaving the patient. If we can be of any assistance at all
we will come to the scene to assist.
Again, the first priority in an emergency situation is to call 911.
