Administrative Services:

The public hearing of proposed FY 2005 student fees was held on Tuesday, November 11.  The proposal includes a 10.0% increase ($156.00) in the full-time resident fee, part of which is an increase of $149.50 to the matriculation fee. Revenue generated by the matriculation fee is required by law to support physical plant operations, student services and institutional support.  Consequently, the increased revenues from the matriculation fee will go to support ongoing costs in these three areas.  By utilizing funds generated from the proposed matriculation fee increase, the institution will offset a larger amount of the costs in the physical plant, student services and institutional support budgets.

The student technology fee will be increased by $1.00 and the following activity fees will be increased as shown: Co-Curricular - $1.00; I.D. Card - $.50; Institutional Development - $1.00; Intramurals - $1.00; Student Programming - $1.00; Student Union Building Operations - $2.00. Other changes to activity fees include: 1) the elimination of the Handbook fee accompanied by a reallocation to the Matriculation fee; and 2) elimination of the Student Accident Insurance fee accompanied by a reallocation to the Health Center.

The proposal also includes increases to the credit hour fee for both part-time instruction and summer term instruction of $18 per credit hour (11.8% increase) and to nonresident tuition in the amount of $121 per semester (4% increase). These increases will address most of the areas funded by increases in the full-time resident fee discussed above.

I-Time holiday reporting instructions for eligible classified employees earning compensatory time include two steps:  1. Enter HOL (8 hours) and 2.  Enter HOA (8hours).  No special override is required by the supervisor when time sheets are approved.
