Enrollment Report
Spring Semester headcount as of January 15 is 2,779. Tenth day headcount is anticipated to be above 2,800, which is above last year’s spring headcount.
Delay for Permanent Building Fund Projects
Governor Kempthorne and legislative leaders announced a plan to delay capitol projects. Lewis-Clark State College's multi-purpose activity center construction funding has been put on hold. The projects affected will be reconsidered on a month-to-month basis between now and April, with funds being held or released according to reviews of state revenues.
LC will continue with opening the construction bids this week. Bidding is for phase two, which includes the start of construction on the facility. Phase one, already underway, included site preparation and construction of parking lots. Funding to cover costs of phase one is not affected.
Campus Meeting Follow-up
Chet Herbst met with ASLCSC leadership to provide information regarding announcements made at the campus meeting on January 10, and provided an update of the Governor's hold on capitol projects.
Phase II Network Upgrade
The scope of the Network Phase II Project is to upgrade and expand the Local Area Network (LAN) within the various campus buildings. The major improvements resulting (critical success factors) will be:
