President's Council Meeting Summary
November 28, 2001

Wordmark letterhead design and Graphic Identity Guideline
Nancy Jasper and students presented sample letterhead, business card, envelope and name tag designs. Nancy Jasper and Jody Oftelie will follow-up on cost estimates for the paper samples as compared to utilizing white bond. Comments and suggestions should be submitted to Jody and Nancy.
Campus Calendar Management
Renee Hofeldt presented a proposal for managing a campus event calendar. Several suggestions were made regarding coordination, points of contact, scheduling of all facilities, and input of multiple dates event schedules. Additional comments or suggestions should be submitted to Renee Hofeldt.
Enrollment Report
Dr. Meier reported that more students have registered for spring than last year at this time. Student Affairs and instructional staff will begin calling the applicants who have not completed admission. The calling process made a tremendous difference last year. Dr. Meier will provide a weekly enrollment update.
Strategic Planning Update
Chet Herbst reported that committee work has been going very well. They are refining their original input and overarching issues.
Disaster Preparedness Plan Update
Governor Kempthorne’s executive order directed agencies and institutions to review their disaster recovery plans. Dean Froehlich reported that the initial assessment of our plan has been completed and a report of that assessment has been submitted to the State Board of Education. Our recommendation is to complete plan revision by January 31. To do so, a task force is being structured to coordinate and possibly merge the multiple plans (communications disaster, business resumption, evacuation, information technology, etc.). Chet Herbst will chair the task force.
