Sabbatical Leave General Information

Start by reviewing the Idaho State Board of Education Policy (Select G.) and the Lewis-Clark State College policy on sabbatical.

All sabbatical proposals are evaluated by the Faculty Affairs Committee using the evaluation criteria established by the LCSC sabbatical policy (Policy 2.114). The Faculty Affairs Committee strives for a fair evaluation of all proposals.

To ensure fair and timely evaluation, please develop and submit your proposal following the guidelines described within this document. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the proposal is complete and submitted on-time.

Sabbatical leaves may be granted after six (6) full academic years of service at Lewis-Clark State College or after six (6) full academic years have elapsed since the faculty member's most recent sabbatical leave.

Policy 2.114 details the sabbatical proposal submission, review, and approval timeline. Proposals are due October 1 of each year (or the next working day when October 1 falls on a weekend).
