Mini Sabbatical


A one semester, three credit release Mini Sabbatical is focused on a clearly identifiable scholarly or creative deliverable.

Eligibility - Mini Sabbatical leaves may be granted to any full-time faculty member.


Proposals are due October 1. Awardees will work with their Division Chairs to determine the best semester for a mini-sabbatical leave.


A.  Mini Sabbatical Packet

  1. Description of Proposed Mini-Sabbatical (2 pages maximum)
    • Title
    • Objective (just one objective) which clearly states the creative scholarly deliverable.
    • Plan to complete deliverable
    • Semester for Mini Sabbatical
  2. Current Curriculum Vita

Email one (1) document in .pdf format as an attachment to the Faculty Affairs Committee Chair by October 1.  Copy the Provost's ( and Dean's ( or offices and your Division Chair. You will receive an email acknowledgement within one week of the proposal deadline.  If you do not receive an email, contact the Provost's office.

B.  Division Chair Recommendation:  

The purpose of the Division Chair recommendation is to confirm that the Division is able to accomodate the three credit release.  

Email a .pdf copy of the letter to the Faculty Affairs Committee Chair with a copy to the Provost’s    ( and Dean’s ( or offices.
