PSO Observer Report-(FARG)
2007 Report  [doc]

What’s a FARG?

FARG stands for Functional Area Review Group.  The FARGs are the six LCSC groups that encompass all campus functions.  The FARGs are 1) Administrative Services, 2) Professional-Technical Programs, 3) Community Programs, 4) Academic Programs, 5) Student Services, and 6) Direct Reporting Units (to the President).

As part of the strategic planning process, each campus unit (within each FARG) creates a Unit Action Plan (UAP) that is reviewed by the other units within the review group.  Members of the PSO (as well as CSO and faculty) sit as observers during the FARG meetings.  All PSO observers (FARGOs) then convene and prepare a document that includes common themes and suggestions that were pulled from the meetings.  This document is then presented to the Presidents and Vice Presidents.
