Center for New Directions

The PTEC - Center for New Directions helps individuals in transition to become personally and economically self-sufficient. We provide brief personal counseling, educational and career counseling to help individuals recognize their abilities and interests, set goals, solve problems, and find a positive life direction

This may include choosing a career, entering technical education, pursuing an academic degree, updating skills, pre-college assessments, applying for financial aid, finding a job, and ultimately becoming self-sufficient.

We offer individual sessions for single parents, displaced homemakers/workers, nontraditional workers, professional/technical students, and others who are in transition. Both students and community members are encouraged to participate in the Center's programs!
