- How do I get an
LCSC
transcript or copy of my LCSC grades?
You can request
official copies of your transcript from the Office of the Registrar
only. Currently enrolled students can access their
grades and unofficial transcripts online via
WarriorWeb.
- Where do I get a copy of
my previous school’s transcript?
From
the previous school (college and high school). LCSC cannot provide copies of other
school’s academic records.
- How do I verify my
enrollment or degree?
LCSC has authorized the National
Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment
verifications. Simply use the "Enrollment verification"
link on WarriorWeb to access the NSC. They may also be
contacted directly at
www.studentclearinghouse.org, (703) 742-4200, fax: (703)
742-4239, or
service@studentclearinghouse.org.
- What is a credit hour?
For a typical LCSC semester (15-16 weeks), 1 credit hour
corresponds to 3 hours of student work per week (e.g. 50 minute
lecture w/ 2 hours of homework/study). For example, a
course meets MWF for 50 minute lectures and the faculty assigns
6 hours of out-of-class work per week. Therefore,
approximately 9 hours of student work per week is devoted to the
class. Hence, the course is assigned 3 credit hours.
- How can I earn Academic
Forgiveness?
Students can petition for
Academic
Forgiveness only after a minimum of 5 years has elapsed
since the course work to be forgiven was completed. See
the college catalog for further details.
- How do I file a petition?
Petitions are used to request a special
action by the college to override existing policy (request a
general education core substitution, request academic forgiveness,
register for more than 21 credits, etc.).
Petition forms
can be obtained at the Office of the Registrar
or the division
offices.
Fill out the form, pay the fee, and submit it to the appropriate
office for consideration. Instructions for completing the
petition process are located on the back of the form.
- Who can I speak to about
transfer credits from another school?
A
transfer credit evaluator in the
Office of Admission. All transfer transcripts submitted
to LCSC are evaluated by the Office of Admission.
- How do I change my
residency
status?
You can apply to change the status of
your residency at the Office
of the Registrar. The application
must be returned to the Office of the Registrar prior to the
first day of classes for the semester for which it is to take
effect. Decision on the granting of residency status is
not retroactive.
- How do I change my address or
name with the college? You must submit an
Address
and Name Change Form to the Office of the Registrar
to change your local address. Filling out this form
does not establish you as an Idaho resident for fee purposes.
Home (permanent) addresses can be changed on WarriorWeb.
You can also submit a diploma address by sending a letter
or LCMail message to the Office of the Registrar.
- What is a "hold" and how can
I find out if I have a hold on my account? A hold is a
restriction on your record which will
stop you from accessing certain information (usually
registration). Holds typically involve financial concerns
(parking fine, library fine, Controller's Office hold, etc.).
You can determine if you have a hold with the "My
holds/restrictions" link on
WarriorWeb.
- Where do I get loan
deferment papers signed?
Office of the Registrar
or simply use the "Enrollment verification" link on WarriorWeb to access the National Student Clearinghouse. They may also be
contacted directly at
www.studentclearinghouse.org, (703) 742-4200, fax: (703)
742-4239, or
service@studentclearinghouse.org.
- How do I get GED scores/transcripts?
See
the Adult & Family Education Office, Reid Centennial Hall, Room
22(Phone:
208-792-2238).
