Residence Life -->
Reason
s to Live on Campus...

Students living in residence halls are more likely to achieve a higher grade point average.

Students living in residence halls are more likely to complete their baccalaureate degrees in four years.

Living in a residence hall generally seems to enhance self-confidence, public speaking ability, and similar measures of self reliance.

Students who live in residence halls report greater satisfaction with their living environment than others. Much of this satisfaction was due to greater contact with faculty and more opportunities.

Residence Hall Students generally have more time and opportunities for involvement on campus and in the residence halls themselves.

Programming is a large part of Residence Life activity. A program is any event or activity that students may attend. The program theme may be recreational, social, educational, cultural or even a fund raiser. Students are encouraged to participate in planning and participating in the actual event. LCSC Residence Life provides, quite literally, hundreds of programs each year.

By being involved with events, you can further develop your skills related to organization, responsibility, and interaction. Great internal rewards occur when a student-presented activity is received well from the student's peers.
