How to Cancel

Cancellations must be received in writing by fax, email or mail, at the Residence Life Office. Students should include the date, print their name and student ID number, indicate that they would like to cancel their contract and then sign the letter. Parents or guardians can not complete a cancellation for their student, unless the student is under 18 years of age, and then we would need both the student and parent/guardian’s signature.

Fall Semester
Cancellation by 6/1 Full refund of housing deposit
Cancellation 6/2-8/1 $100.00 refund of housing deposit
Cancellation 8/2 or after No refund of housing deposit
   
Spring Semester  
Cancellation by 11/1 Full refund of housing deposit
Cancellation 11/2-1/1 $100.00 refund of housing deposit
Cancellation 1/2 or after No refund of housing deposit
   

Once the semester has started, cancellations will only be approved if a student withdraws from the LCSC. The only other reasons Residence Life would approve a cancellation is if there is a waiting list and another student is willing to take over your contract space in the residence halls, or if you find an acceptable person to take over your contract. Contact the Residence Life office for more information.
