Brakae Campbell
I am from McCall, Idaho. My graduating
class was about 58 students and my high school had 250
to 300 students. I am majoring in psychology with
plans to be a high school counselor. I chose LC for
many different reasons including the location, the
size, and the cost of tuition and living on campus. It
is a really pretty campus and almost impossible to get
lost and the people here are really friendly and
helpful. The class sizes are great, I love having 20
to 30 students in a class compared to 200 to 300 in a
class like a big university does. Some of the
activities I am involved in are Residence Hall
Association (RHA) and Warrior Zone. Outside of school
I volunteer at the Willow Center, for grieving
children. I love living on campus! It is a great way
to get involved and meet new people. I like the idea
of always being near campus and not having to commute
every morning. I also like the fact that I pay for my
housing with my tuition so I don’t have to worry about
making monthly rent payments. Some things I would have
liked to known before living on campus and coming to
LC are all the activities and clubs there are for
students as well as the many things that I can do for
free off campus with my student ID card.

I’m Lisa Patel
and I am from Eagle, Idaho and I went to Eagle High
school. I lived in a pretty small town, but my school
was a 5A school so it was pretty big with 300 students
in my graduating class. I chose LCSC because of the
Lewiston weather and I wanted a ‘home away from home’
which I have been able to create here at LC! I’m
currently involved in RHA (residence hall association)
and I’m a part of the Explorer’s team through New
Student Recruitment as well. I like going to LC
because of the small class size and the teacher
interaction we have that most larger schools don’t
have. I like living on campus because I feel I’m
closer to my friends and surrounded by people that
help me with school and studying. If I was an incoming
freshman I would want to live on campus, if it wasn’t
for living on campus I don’t think I would be so
involved on campus and would never have met so many
great people!

My name is
Rowdy Fisher. I am from Caldwell, Idaho. My
town is very large and spacious, and largely
populated, but it is mostly fields and suburbs. I went
to Vallivue High School, with around 1,300 students
and graduated with about 400 of them. I am a first
year student and currently
majoring in Pre-Medicine under Biology and when I
graduate I plan to be an Orthodontist.
The
reason why I chose LCSC for my higher education is for
a few reasons. I love that it is a small school
contrary to my large high school. The class sizes are
small so I can have close relationships with my
professors and vise versa. The campus is also small so
everything is accessible and not too far to walk from
class to class. The cost of tuition was a major
factor, being the lowest priced four year school with
great financial aid. I also love my dorm, Clearwater
Hall. The town of Lewiston is pretty neat, and it’s
also near Moscow where some of my friends go to the
University of Idaho, so I am close enough to visit.
Lastly, one of my favorite things about this college
are the events that are planned for students living on
campus. You are never bored if you put yourself out
there!
One of the activities I am involved in is
LCSC’s Explorers program where I am a tour guide of
the campus. It’s nice to meet families interested in
coming here. I have been active in some intramural
sports including: Dodge ball, Volleyball (in which my
team won the championship by the way!), and Tennis. I
am also starting to get involved in the Resident Hall
Association where we use our budget and plan events
for the residents.
One of the things I love about
LC is their indoor tennis courts. They are open to
students most of the time and free, not to mention.
Some of my classes are in a newly built building,
Sacagawea Hall where there are nice new labs and class
rooms, which is very accommodating. I love the mild
weather here, since I can wear shorts at times, when
in my home town, it would be snowing. One of the
coolest things about LC and Lewiston in general, is
the major friendliness of their residents. The people
are so nice and polite here!

Hello, my name is
Jeffrey Lowndes and I’m from
Vancouver, Washington. Vancouver has a couple hundred
thousand people living in it and the surrounding area
so it is a different scenario then Lewiston. I am
currently a Sophomore in the Sports Administration
program and the first attraction for me to LCSC was
the tennis team. I am on the LCSC tennis team and it
has been a great experience so far. Although Lewiston
is pretty different than where I’m from, I have found
I like it a lot. There is a great group of students
here and there also is plenty to do around the town.
The campus is really close to the river, which is a
nice place to swim around. The college is close to
downtown which makes for a nice selection of
activities to do as well.

My name is
Josie Bryan and I am from Meridian, ID which
has a population of about 68,000 people where I had a
graduating class of 350. I am a first year student and
a nursing major and I
chose LCSC because of the small class sizes and I
loved the feeling of being in college the campus
brought. Some of the things I like to do are work out
on campus and run the bridges. I am an Explorer for
New Student Recruitment where I give tours to new
students. I love baseball and LC has a great baseball
team.
I like that everyone knows everyone and
is for the most part kind! It is nice to live on
campus because I go to the events and I meet LOTS of
people and always have someone around!
One thing I
would have liked to know before I came to LCSC is that
you come to college to have fun, yet know you also
HAVE to study to keep up with your classes.

Hi, my name is Strider Burns and I am
from Colfax, Washington. I chose LCSC because of the
Kinesiology program. I am currently on the Track team
and when I have the time I help with RHA, compete in
all the Inter-murals I can, and am in the kinesiology
club. I really like how the campus is small, allows
you to meet a lot of people, and gives you plenty of
time in between classes to go get food or coffee.
Something I wish I knew before I came here is that I
need to be organized in order to be successful. |
