Social Sciences Scholarships

The William G. Clouser Social Work Scholarship          

This scholarship was established in honor of William G. Clouser. Dr. Clouser was a faculty member and Program Director in the Social Work Program. To be eligible, students must be entering their senior year, be classified as at least quarter-time, enrolled in nine or more credits per semester and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5  in social work courses. Applicants must also submit a personal letter with their application describing why they have chosen a career in social work. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

John R. Seaman Social Work Scholarship

To be eligible for this award, applicants must be pursuing a degree in social work at the LCSC-Coeur d'Alene Center, have completed at least 90 credits, be classified as a full-time student, enrolled in 12 or more credits, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants must also submit a personal letter with their application describing why they have chosen a career in social work. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.

John Streiff Memorial Scholarship          

The intent of this scholarship is to provide funding for outstanding students majoring in Social or Political Science. To be eligible, students must be pursuing a degree in either Social or Political Science, have a class standing of junior or above, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be actively involved in both the campus and community. Preference will be given to individuals from the LC Valley. Award amount varies. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.
