I am new to Lewis-Clark and new to Idaho. I grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York where I received my BA at SUNY at Albany. I moved to Illinois in 1971 where I eventually completed my MSW and Ph.D. at University of Illinois, Chicago . After earning my MSW I worked as a school social worker in the public schools in rural LaSalle County and then in a more urban school in Aurora , IL . Upon completion of my doctorate, I began teaching part-time at Aurora University ’s graduate social work program. A year later I taught there full-time until this past June when my husband, I, our 3 dogs and 2 cats packed up and moved to Lewiston .

My school social work background prepared me well to teach generalist practice courses. My love of and experience with research has me excited about teaching research and working with students around their projects. The social work profession is my passion in all its various aspects. I enjoy sharing what I have learned over the years with a new generation of social workers. I also enjoy learning new ideas from students. Together we will ensure that the profession remains worthy of its traditions.
