Clubs and Orgs Meeting Minutes

February 3, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 12:15 in the Silverthorne.

Matt Smith talked about funding opportunities through the ASLCSC. Informed the group that the deadline is the third Tuesday of February. For information can go to www.lcsc.edu/studentclubs.

Matching funds will be available through the third Tuesday.

For groups doing fundraising need to check with Polly Blasko to make sure they are doing things correctly. Myndie VanHorn informed the group how to submit the matching funds. Informed them that they needed to bring a receipt from the Controllers Office and were eligible for $100 for a year.

Co-Curricular funding information is available online. Check with Judy Dingman if you have questions.

Matt Smith informed the group that the spring meeting time will be 12:15, haven’t set the dates yet. The reason that the time changed is because of Tech side conflicts. The way that the information gets out about the meetings is an email sent to the presidents of the clubs and advisors. Meeting times and places are also listed on the clubs pages. Should have the rest of the semesters meetings scheduled by the next meeting.

Matt Smith announced that ASLCSC elections will be coming up soon. If anyone is interested in running for the ASLCSC they should contact him after the meeting. He brought applications for the election with him.

Various clubs informed the group of their upcoming events.

Jimmie O’Harra informed the group that the club websites will be changing. There will probably be a policy coming down that clubs can’t have a website on the LCSC server. He offered webspace for $5 a month or $60 a year. The Web Development and Computing club will also build a site for clubs and the price will be worked out depending on the size. For more information contact advisor Jason Blazzard or Myndie in the ASB office and either one can put you in touch with the club.
