Minds in Motion Minority Scholarship A minimum of
two, one-year scholarships are available for full-time
ethnic minority students attending LCSC. One scholarship
will be awarded to a Native American student and one
scholarship will be awarded to any minority student.
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. To be eligible
students must be majoring in one of the following approved
fields of study: accounting, biology/chemistry, business,
communications, computer science/technology, economics,
environmental science, engineering, mathematics, natural
resources, political science, statistics or technology. The
amount of the awards is variable. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.
The
Leona H. Craw Memorial Scholarship This endowed
scholarship has been set up by Leona H. Craw’s daughter,
Patricia, in memory of her mother. This scholarship is for
the benefit of Native American Indian students seeking a
college degree. In order to receive this scholarship,
students must be a Native American Indian, have a 3.0
cumulative GPA, and be enrolled as a degree-seeking,
full-time (12 credits) student. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.
Hispanic Youth Symposium Scholarship The Hispanic
Youth Symposium Scholarship is awarded annually during the
Idaho Hispanic Youth Symposium to a high school senior
planning to attend LCSC the following fall semester. One
annual award is available and the amount is variable. For

The International Student Endowed
Scholarship This scholarship was created for the
purpose of offsetting the educationally-related expenses of
international student/s attending Lewis-Clark State College.
To be eligible, applicants must be classified as full-time
students, carrying 12 or more credits per semester and have
a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to
international students and to students with demonstrated
financial need, as determined by International Student
Services. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.
Dean and Colleen Mahoney
Scholarship To be eligible for this scholarship,
applicant must be a full-time student enrolling for 12 or
more credits per semester and have a minimum cumulative GPA
of 2.5. Preference will be given to students who are of
minority descent. Preference will also be given to students
with demonstrated financial need, as determined by the
Financial Aid Office. One annual award is available and the
amount varies. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1.
Minority and At Risk Student
Scholarship This scholarship is intended to assist
talented students who may be at risk of failing to realize
their ambition because of their cultural, economic or
physical circumstances. Three awards are available each year
and students may be eligible to receive the award for a
maximum of four years. To be eligible, students must be an
Idaho resident, a graduate of an Idaho high school and meet
at least three of the following criteria: be a
first-generation college student; be disabled; be a migrant
farm worker or other seasonal farm worker or the dependent
of a migrant farm worker or other seasonal farm worker; have
substantial need; or be a minority person, i.e., a black
non-Hispanic, a Hispanic, a Native American, or a member of
another ethnic group whose members have participated in
higher education at a rate lower than their occurrence in
the general population. A separate application is required
and must be submitted by March 1. Student must provide grade
transcripts and an essay. For more information, contact your

Nez
Perce Vocational Waivers Enrolled members of the Nez
Perce tribe who are taking classes in vocational-technical
Certificate and AAS programs at LCSC are eligible for fee
waivers. Students must provide proof of tribal enrollment to
the Controller's Office. For more information contact the

Plateau Native American Trust Scholarship To
be eligible for this award, applicants must be an enrolled
member, or show proof of being at least one-quarter blood,
of one of the following Plateau tribes: Nez Perce Tribe,
Yakama Indian Nation, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla
Indian Reservation, Colville Confederated Tribes, Spokane
Tribe, Kalispel Tribe, Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, Coeur
d’Alene Tribe, and Confederated Tribes of Salish-Kootenai.
Enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm
Springs Indian Reservation will be considered on an
individual basis by the scholarship committee. Applicants
must also be classified as a full-time student, carrying 12
or more credits per semester, have a minimum GPA of 2.5
(high school applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA), and
must be enrolled in an undergraduate academic or technical
program, seeking a certificate or degree. The committee will
consider applicant's information concerning financial need,
academic performance and individual family situations when
selecting recipients. Amount of award varies depending on
student’s financial needs analysis and number of awards
given. Deadline for applying is March 1. For more

Regence BlueShield of
Idaho Scholarships Regence BlueShield of Idaho has
established two scholarships to support incoming freshman
pursuing one of the following programs of study: Bachelor
degrees in Business or Healthcare related, Associate of
Applied Science (AAS) in Practical Nursing, Associate of
Science for Radiographic Science, and AAS in Medical Office.
Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative high school
G.P.A, and be registered for at least twelve credits.
Preference will be given to minority students. A General
Application is required and must be submitted by March 1.
The Andrew L. Smith Memorial Scholarship This
scholarship was established by the family and friends of
Andrew L. Smith for the purpose of offsetting the
educationally-related expenses of a Lewis-Clark State
College student. To be eligible, applicants must be a
student of sophomore, junior or senior class standing, must
be classified as a full-time student, carrying 12 or more
credits per semester, have a cumulative GPA consistent with
the minimum required for admission and for progress toward
his or her selected major, have demonstrated financial need,
as determined by the Financial Aid Office, and must have
demonstrated a high degree of ambition, which should be
evidenced by recommendations of college staff and/or others.
Preference will be given to Native American Students. Two
letters of recommendation must accompany application. The
amount of the award is variable. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1.
Ike
Wilson Memorial Scholarship Each year one scholarship
is awarded to a Native American student who has completed at
least 15 credits at LCSC. Students must have a cumulative
GPA of 2.5 and have at least one parent enrolled in a state
or federally recognized tribe or be of Native American
status in Canada. A General Application is required and must
be submitted by March 1.
