Teacher Workshop Agenda

Idaho certified teachers may apply to receive a scholarship to attend the 2007 Symposium and a one-day teacher workshop. Application deadline is April 2, 2007*. The scholarship review committee will strive to distribute the stipends throughout the state and across the spectrum of grade levels taught. Lewis-Clark State College thanks the Idaho Governor’s Lewis and Clark Trail Committee for providing the 50 scholarships.

*Though the Scholarship Application deadline has passed, we will still accept applications for teachers to placed on a waiting list, should some recipients be unable to accept their scholarships*

In the workshop, faculty from the Education Division will develop strategies for addressing state-required standards, particularly in history and diversity. This collaboration will assist teachers in improving local and regional cross-cultural understanding. Scholarship recipients, in addition to the Symposium, will be provided with the additional full-day workshop, course materials, on-campus lodging, continental breakfasts and lunches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and dinners on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
