TECH PREP ENROLLMENT
The Idaho's Division of Professional-Technical Education gathers information for the Tech Prep Enrollment report every Spring.  This report is to assess how many 9-12 grade male/female Tech Prep students are in each Tech Prep approved program.  The definition of a "Tech Prep Student" isn't a student signing up for dual credit, but a student who wishes to receive one or more of these benefits:

     -          Assistance in career/education planning.
-          Articulated college credit opportunities.
-          Campus tours of technical or academic programs.
-          College program information from prospective colleges.
-          Shadowing experiences with college students.
-          Time-shortening or skill-enhancing your college experience.
-          Assistance w/ Compass Testing.
-          Reserving a place for you in your selected technical college program. (based on availability)

THE “5 MINUTE” TECH PREP ENROLLMENT PROCESS

INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING OUT TECH PREP ENROLLMENT FORM

1. Present the Form to male/female students in grades 9-12 in your State Recognized Tech Prep Program (see school’s Tech Prep Program list on your schools enrollment form).  Please make more copies as needed.
    

2. Student is to complete the form in its entirety, specifically the gender, grade and student signature.  It is not necessary to provide the 4-yr plan on the back of the enrollment form if it is not readily available.  Please inform the student that the courses taken can directly benefit them in their transition to a technical college program. 
    

3. IMPORTANT: Student is to only circle one Tech Prep Program that they were in sometime this academic year (semester-long or year-long class).  DO NOT DUPLICATE STUDENTS.  Students are only to fill out one enrollment form each academic year.
    

4. There should NOT be more Tech Prep students in the high school’s Professional-Technical Program than what is reported to the Idaho’s Division of Professional-Technical Education (10-E).
    

5. Tech Prep Liaison E-mails the Tech Prep Coordinator no later than September 7^th, 2007 at ttsmith@lcsc.edu with the number of:
    

6. Tech Prep Liaison Standard Mails the signed student enrollment forms to the Tech Prep Office postmarked NO LATER than September 7^th, 2007.
