NAIA NATIONAL AWARDS 2006

The LCSC Warriors showed some of their academic prowess as they earned some off court accolades
during the awards presentation at the Tournament of Champions Banquet on Sunday May 14th 2006.

Ana Cornea, a senior from Kennewick, Washington and Ali Faris Mohamed, a junior from the Maldives picked up
the NAIA Academic All-American Honors. This award is given to student-athletes of junior level or above, with a
cumulative gpa of 3.5 or better.

The Warrior women also picked up the NAIA Scholar Team Honor, an award given to a team average of over 3.0

In a new award initiated this year to recognize student-athletes who exemplify the core values of the NAIA Character of Champions initiative, Andy Hunt and Carla Jones were the first award recipients from Lewis-Clark State College.

"These are certainly very proud moments of LCSC tennis. The accomplishments off the courts are just as important
as the ones on the courts, a testimony towards the moniker "student-ahtlete" "
