2006 Palouse Campus Recreation Championship
April 1st, 2006 Saturday
hosted by Lewis-Clark State College

The Second Annual Campus Recreation Tennis Event attracted four regional teams. Defending champions Portland State University, The Crimson Team and The Grey Team of Washington State University and the LCSC Warriors filled the indoor tennis facility with a lot of tennis action.

This year, it was the WSU Crimson Team that won the four team round robin event that featured men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

Mark Toppe, the USTA Pacific Northwest Campus Recreation Program Coordinator was on hand to organize the event. He made sure that there was plenty of food and beverages for the players, and lots of giveaways (tennis strings, shirts, visors, hats, tennis balls) which included a mini TV set that went out to LC's Nick Armstrong for his exemplary sportsmanship in competition.

The LCSC Warriors comprised of Drew Bailey, Taylor Orr, Rachel Scharnhorst, Carolyn Fox Quintero, Kate Hillman, Nick Armstrong, Sarah Murt and Conner Hall.

The Club team will continue to meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10pm until the end of the semester. Currently enrolled students (part time students included) are welcome to join the club. There is not any membership fee. Players meet to play and socialize, and plan for events during the semester.
