ITA/FILA Rankings April 2 2007

BORJA MOLAS #10


BORJA MOLAS cracked the top 10 in the first ITA Fila Rankings released earlier in April. Borja is a senior from Barcelona, Spain. This marks the first time since 2000 that a player from the men's team received that distinction. The previous Warrior, Vinicius Vieira, holds the all time highest singles ranking at #4. He reached the semi-finals of the fall ITA National Small College Tournament.

At the time of the press release for first singles ranking period, Borja recorded 11 wins and 3 losses. He was the lone winner in the 1-8 dual loss against Azusa Pacific University on March 21, 2007. Borja defeated #11 ranked David Goodman in three thrilling sets. That was also the first time in many outings (six years), that the Warriors scored an individual victory against the perennial NAIA powerhouse.

Holding down the #36 spot is Ara Sarkissian. Ara is a senior from Uppsala, Sweden.
