Industrial Electronics

The Industrial Electronics program instructs students in the most applicable areas of basic and advanced electronics. This course includes training in DC-AC theory and applications, solid state digital(ICs) and analog circuits, motor control systems, and computer-based systems such as PCs (single and networked), microcontrollers, and programmable logic controllers. Upon completion of each course in this program, students must demonstrate industry-based safety procedures, computer-based (PLC) programming, and electrical/electronic equipment maintenance and installation techniques as required by various industries.

Entrance requirements for students seeking enrollment in the Industrial Electronics program include:

  • Students must qualify for Math 103 and have a Compass reading score of 73 or above.

  • Enrollment priority for students seeking entrance into the program is on a first-come first-serve basis as determined by the student's faculty advising date.
