LCSC BoundLCSC has such a beautiful campus. I couldn’t be happier that
I stuck with my gut instinct and chose to come here. Everything is so close to
my dorm or even from each other that walking never gets tiring.
Coming to college can be the most exciting thing.
However,
it was the hardest when it came to saying goodbye to all my friends. Packing was
not my favorite part, but it just meant I was one step closer to being on my
own! Moving into the dorms was a fast way to meet people along with the freshman
orientation activities. My roommate and I participated in the murder mystery in the
library the first night of orientation and had a blast doing that. It is fun to
see new faces everywhere.
It has been about a month now, and since the campus is
pretty small, I have found my way around, at least to my classes for this
semester. All the students and professors here are willing to help you find your
way around, especially when they know you are new. Classes are a new experience
as well. Even though they are about the same size as my high school classes,
they are more time consuming, and being new, I don’t want to make any mistakes
and want to work hard. They are a lot of fun and the professors are always
willing to spend extra time with you and help you pass their class.
I am very excited to be apart of the L-C tennis team.
Practices are fun and a good workout so I am not to gain the freshman 15.
Snacking throughout the day; however, is not a good way to watch your weight. Even
though we don’t have food in our room right now, that is fine with me because it
stops me from snacking. We have our first tournament here at L-C, the last weekend
of September. That will be a fun experience and a lot different than what I am
used to.
Alright, well that is all for now, and as the year goes on,
I am excited for all the new things to come my way!
